Day After First MDA Visit

Well, after all the poking, prodding, loss of vital fluids and such you would think I had been at a really wild party or something.  NOT!!!  Today I am trying to catch up on phone calls and e-mails as well as refueling and rebuilding emotionally, mentally and physically.

It has been somewhat surreal since the initial finding.  The reality and severity of it all hit me like a ton of bricks after meeting with the surgeon.  The news was not what we were expecting and the air was knocked out me like letting an inflated balloon loose.  I know the same is true of Glenda but she has been a rock.  I had my first little break down moment after talking to the surgeon but have quickly regrouped and I am now trying to get my head around it all once again.

I need to go back in a few weeks for more testing before a final plan is formalized.  After the next visit we should know what kind of growth/mass/tumor it is.  GMT, I don't really know what to call it - would any body be offended if I just called it Clyde?  How about acronyms?  I would like to hear some good ones.  How about SLM - sneaky little mother, except it isn't so little.  UAGTBN- unknown abnormal growth to be nuked.   Once we know what it is( how about IT?), we will know how to treat IT.  At this time it looks like lot's of chemo before surgery is an option.

Thanks for all your love and support.  I am very blessed to have so many wonderful friends.  TNT - Brian

Yeah, I like Clyde too. Well, that's not to say I like it, only the name. It's like telling your children they've been bad or they've done something bad. One is much more positive than the other. NTL, I have you in my thoughts daily, Brian. I think this sucks that just after you and your lovely bride finish the house of your dreams "Clyde" sneaks in to try and steal the joy. Don't you dare let him! I know you won't. If anyone can deal with this mess, you can. You are always so positive and laid back. So happy. Clyde won't be able to handle all that happiness for long. Here's to you and to the best medicine the world has to offer, no matter where in the world it is. We're all with you and if you need anything, you know I'm only 10 minutes away most of the time.- Cherry
